About Our Programs:

Little Hikers Long Island is a fully outdoor educational nature program for children ages 2–6 and their caregivers, held at West Hills County Park.

Each class focuses on a simple nature topic. Children explore the trail while learning about insects, plants, trees, soil, and seasonal changes. They observe nature using tools like magnifying glasses and binoculars and complete a hands-on nature craft connected to the lesson.

This program introduces early science through real outdoor exploration, helping children build curiosity, observation skills, confidence, and comfort in nature.
