Children notice sunshine and shade, buzzing insects, blooming flowers, birds calling from the trees, and the way the trail feels different than it did in spring. At Little Hikers, July is a time to explore how nature responds to summer, where animals rest when it’s hot, how trees provide shade, and how plants use sunlight. The program focuses on hands-on learning through movement, observation, and play, giving children real outdoor experiences that build curiosity, confidence, and a growing connection to nature.
